Welcome to On Pleasure, a space to explore and document a journey into conscious pleasure and the relationship with it.
I have many questions about pleasure and not many answers, or any answer at all, one that’s pleasurable, at least.
What’s pleasure? What types of pleasures are out there? What makes life pleasurable? What about simple pleasures? What about complex pleasures? What does conscious pleasure feel like? And, last but not least, what’s it like to live a conscious, pleasurable life? The one you create and live consciously every day until the last day—maybe pleasure does have an end.
I’m trying to understand pleasure, the conscious kind. The one enjoyed not to escape but to connect, to become present, and to consciously create a moment with others and/or ourselves.
I’m learning that there is pleasure simply in the conscious act of exploring pleasure, because maybe pleasure is about exploring, about being curious, about presence, about awareness. Maybe pleasure is simpler than it sounds. Maybe thought kills pleasure. Maybe pleasure is the absence of thoughts, just pure existence, experience, bliss, fluidity of things and life.
Thank you for joining this pleasurable, conscious journey and its exploration.
